Nacido en Lisboa en 1955, Luis Catalan ha tenido relación con las razas Cocker Spaniel Inglés y Americano, Basset Hound, Dobermann y Whippet. Actualmente es el Vicepresidente del Clube Português de Canicultura (CPC), Presidente del Comité de Exposiciones del CPC, Miembro y Vicepresidente de la Comisión de Exposiciones de la FCI y Presidente del Club Portugués del Spaniel.
Juez Internacional de todas las razas, ha juzgado en Exposiciones de Campeonato en la mayoría de los países europeos. Ha juzgado también en Australia, Asia, Canadá, Sudamérica, USA y en Exposiciones Mundiales y de Sección.
Como juez especialista ha sido invitado a juzgar y a impartir seminarios de jueces de las siguientes razas: razas portuguesas, Basset Hound, Dobermann, Perros de Caza y Lebreles en diversos países europeos y de América.
 

Born in Lisbon in 1955, Luis Catalan has had breed involvement with English and American Cocker, Basset Hound, Dobermann and Whippet. He is currently Vice-President of the Board of Clube Português de Canicultura (CPC), President of the CPC Show Committee, Member and Vice President of the FCI Show Committee and President of the Portuguese Spaniel Club.
International All Breeds Judge, he has officiated at Championship Dog Shows in the majority of the European countries. He has also judged in Australia, Asia, Canada,South America, USA and World and Section Shows.
As a speciality Judge, he has been invited to judge and give formation in judge`s seminars on the following breeds: Portuguese Breeds, Basset Hound, Doberman, All Gundogs and Sighthounds in several European and America countries.
