Nacido en 1963 en Roma, Italia, en una “familia canina”. Su padre fue juez y crió Caniches junto con su madre con el prefijo “Della Perla Grigia”.
Su afijo “Di Can Gimignano” fue reconocido por la sociedad canina italiana en 1984. San Gimignano es un precioso pueblo medieval en la Toscana. En esa época, criaba Caniches, con líneas inglesas, del criadero Tiopepi. Empezó a criar y exponer Chihuahuas en 1996 después de casarse con una criadora de Chihuahuas, Tuula Lehtinen-Cochetti (Misty Meadow’s Chihuahuas). Cría Jack Russell Terrier y Caniche Toy en menor escala.
Junto con su mujer ha criado más de 500 campeones. Ganaron muchos títulos de campeonato con sus Chihuahuas y Caniches, incluyendo Vencedores Mundiales y Europeos. En el pasado también crió Dobermann y Boston Terrier.
Fue nombrado juez en 1992 y en marzo de 2013 fue nombrado All Rounder.
Es juez especialista del ENCI de todas las razas Toy y la mayoría de Terriers. También es profesor de estas razas para los nuevos jueces. En la actualidad, es Presidente del Kennel Club de Roma y miembro de la Junta Directiva del Club Italiano del Maltés y del Boloñés y ha sido miembro del comité del Club Cani Compagnia y presidente del Club del Chihuahua (dentro del Club Cani Compagnia).
Ha juzgado por todo el mundo, en más de 50 países diferentes, incluyendo Exposiciones Mundiales y Europeas. Ha juzgado BIS en las exposiciones más prestigiosas del mundo y tuvo el honor de juzgar la final del grupo nueve en la Exposición Europea de 2012. En 2018 ha juzgado la final del grupo nueve en la Exposición Mundial.
Ha participado como juez en las exposiciones especiales más importantes de raza Toy y Terrier y razas italianas.
Ha escrito un libro sobre la raza Chihuahua que se ha traducido a varios idiomas.
A menudo, ha sido ponente en seminarios organizados, también en el extranjero, para Boloñés, Maltés, Chihuahua, Caniche y Jack Russell Terrier.

At that time he bred Poodles, the lines came from England, from Tiopepi Kennel. At the moment he is the President of the Rome Kennel Club and board member of the Italian Maltese and Bolognese Club and in the past he has been board member of Club Cani Compagnia (Italian Toydogs Club) and the president of the Chihuahua Club (under Club Cani Compagnia).
He has judged all over the world, in more than 50 different countries, including World and European Shows. He has judged BIS in the most prestigious shows around the world and he had the honor to judge the group nine final at the European Show 2012. In 2018 is invited to judge the group nine final at the World Dog Show.
He has participated as a judge at the most important specialties for Toy and Terrier breeds and Italian breeds.
He is the writer of a Chihuahua’s book which has been translated in different languages.
He has been often the lecturer for seminars organized also abroad, for Bolognese, Maltese, Chihuahua, Poodle and Jack Russell Terrier.
