Propietario del criadero “El Retorno”, ha criado Schnauzer Mediano, Fox Terrier de pelo duro y pelo liso, Whippet, Beagle, Boxer, Dachshund pelo corto, Greyhound y Cimarrón Uruguayo.
Sus ejemplares han triunfado tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, obteniendo hasta la actualidad más de 150 BIS de todas las razas y varios campeonatos mundiales.
Es criador del Fox Terrier pelo duro que ganó el BIS en la Nacional del FTC of America en Montgomery County 2002, Award of Merit en Westminster KC, BIS de todas las razas en la Exposición de las Américas y el Caribe, World Champion y Mejor de Raza en Porto 2001, etc.
Con sus Schnauzers Medianos ha obtenido 4 campeonatos mundiales, ganando grupo y reserva de grupo 2 en el circuito de la Exposición Mundial México 1999. Con esta raza ha ganado más de 60 BIS de todas las razas.
Se inició como juez de la raza Fox Terrier en 1987 y fue nombrado Juez All Rounder en 1996.
Juez especialista de las razas Antiguo Perro de Pastor Inglés, Boxer, Dobermann, Schnauzers, Fox Terriers, Basset Hound, Setter Irlandés, Caniches, Shih-Tzu y Afgano.
Miembro de la Comisión de Estándares de la FCI desde 1999-2018. Actualmente es el Presidente.
Presidente del Kennel Club Uruguayo (1996-2000, 2004-2008, 2014-2016).
Fue presidente de la Sociedad de Criadores de Cimarrones Uruguayos.
Presidente del Comité de Jueces del KCU.
Delegado de la FCI para la Exposición Mundial 2005 (Argentina) y de las Américas & el Caribe (1999 – 2003 y 2005).
Ha juzgado en toda Sudamérica, EE. UU., Méjico, Australia, Nueva Zelanda, Alemania, Croacia, España, Italia, Eslovenia, Guatemala, Hungría, Japón, Puerto Rico, Portugal, Bélgica, Suecia, Noruega, Finlandia, Suiza, Estonia, India, Corea, Filipinas, Indonesia, China, Tailandia, Trinidad y Tobago, Rusia y Sudáfrica.
Juzgó en las Exposiciones Mundiales de Portugal, Brasil, Argentina, Méjico, Suecia, Finlandia y Hungría; en las Exposiciones de Sección de las Américas y el Caribe en Brasil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina, Méjico, Ecuador y Guatemala; en la exposición de Sección Europea en Finlandia y Suiza; los Royal de Adelaide, Perth, Hobart y Sídney.
Ha dado numerosas conferencias en diferentes congresos de jueces en diferentes países del mundo.

Owner of  “El Retorno” Kennel, he breeds Standard Schnauzer, Wire and Smooth Fox Terriers, Whippet, Beagle, Boxer, Short hair Dachshunds, Greyhound and Cimarron Uruguayo.
His dogs have succeeded at national and International level, achieving more than 150 all breeds Best in Show as well as many World Champion titles.
He is the breeder of the Wire Fox Terrier who won the Best in Show in the 2002 American FTC in Montgomery County, the Award of Merit in Westminster KC, all breeds BIS in the Americas and the Caribbean Show, World Champion and Best of Breed in Porto 2001, etc.
He made up 4 World Champions with his Standard Schnauzers, winning Best of Group and Group 2 Reserve in the Mexico World Dog Show in 1999. He won more than 60 all breeds BIS with this breed.
He became a Fox Terrier judge in 1987, and an All Breeds FCI judge in 1996.
Specialist judge on Old English Sheepdog, Boxer, Doberman, Schnauzers, Fox Terriers, Basset Hound, Irish Setters, Poodles, Shih-tzu and Afghan Hound.
Member of the FCI Standard Commission (1999-2018); he is currently its President.
President of the Kennel Club Uruguayo (1996-2000, 2004-2008, 2014-2016).
He was President of la Sociedad de Criadores de Cimarrones Uruguayos.

He judged in the World Dog Shows in Portugal, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Sweden, Finland and Hungary; in the Americas and Caribean Shows in Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Ecuador y Guatemala; in the European Dog Show in Finland and Switzerland; the Royal in Adelaide, Perth, Hobart and Sydney.
He has given several conferences in judge training seminars in several countries.
